Brayton Purcell Sponsors and Completes the American Lung Association's Fight for Air Climb - San Francisco

It brings Brayton Purcell, L.L.P., much pleasure to announce its participation in and sponsorship of the American Lung Association's recent Fight for Air Climb in San Francisco, California. On March 29, 2014, Brayton Purcell employees gathered at 555 California Street in downtown San Francisco to climb the stairs of the Bank of America Center in efforts to raise awareness of lung cancer, the #1 killer of cancer patients.

Fight for Air Climbs are some of the American Lung Association's most unique fundraisers. The climbs take place in prominent skyscrapers, stadiums or other public places, and involve climbing hundreds or thousands of steps to the top.

Brayton Purcell employees spent the previous months preparing for the event by raising funds to compete with the Brayton Purcell Stompers team. Each team member was required to raise a minimum of $100 to participate, while some members went above and beyond the individual goal.

The Brayton Purcell Stompers succeeded in raising a total of $6,500 for the climb. These funds contribute toward providing life-saving education, research, and advocacy for current and future lung cancer patients.

Team captain, Jennifer Harwood, had this to say about the climb: "Every year, our firm forms a team to show our support and every year, we are appreciative and proud to represent our clients. We climb because we can and we climb to support those that can't. This year's climb was nothing short of amazing.....over 1000 climbers showed up to climb and support the fight against lung disease. Families, firefighters, friends, and more made it to the top of the 52 story building in San Francisco (1,197 steps!). It's a powerful day filled with inspiration and hope."

As well as the employees raising funds and their heart rates to make it to the top, Brayton Purcell, LLP was also one of the presenting sponsors of the San Francisco climb. Brayton Purcell, LLP employees have long been a supporter of the American Lung Association, dedicating time to volunteer within the California chapter every year.
