Briana McCarthy

Briana McCarthy joined Brayton Purcell as an associate in March 2011. Her focus is on civil litigation and products liability issues in our asbestos litigation department at our Novato, California law office.

Ms. McCarthy attended California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo where she graduated with a Bachelors of Science in Animal Science with a focus in Pre–Veterinary Medicine and Human Psychology. After earning her bachelor’s degree, she attended the University of San Francisco School of Law and received her J.D. in 2010. While attending the University of San Francisco School of Law, she received a CALI award for Legal Research Writing and Analysis in 2007, competed on the Giles Rich Advanced Appellate Advocacy Team in 2008–2009, and competed on the Saul Lefkowitz Advanced Appellate Advocacy Team in 2009–2010.

She is admitted to practice law in the state of California and the federal district court in the Northern District of California. Ms. McCarthy is a member of the American Bar Association, the Bar Association of San Francisco and the Women’s Law Association.
