Hugh Cook graduated from the University of California at Riverside with a bachelor’s degree in English and a minor in political science. He attended the San Francisco School of Law. After graduation, he worked in the areas of employment, personal injury, and environmental law.
Mr. Cook joined Brayton Purcell as an associate attorney in March, 2000. His legal interests include asbestos, tobacco, employment and environmental law. He also supervises our Investigations Department, which conducts client interviews as well as researches the different brands, manufacturers and suppliers of asbestos products and the contractors that used them.
A member of the California bar, Mr. Cook is also licensed to practice before the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit. He belongs to the Trial Lawyers for Public Justice and the Consumer Attorneys of California. Mr. Cook’s hobbies include golf, softball, and family activities. He is married with three children.
