Jeffrey Eisenberg graduated from Emory University in 1979 and earned his law degree from the University of Michigan in 1983. After he graduated from law school, he moved to Utah and has practiced as a trial attorney for the last 18 years.
Mr. Eisenberg practiced at the law firm of Ray, Quinney & Nebeker from 1983 through 1992 and handled a wide range of commercial and personal injury cases during that time. In 1990, he served as one of the lead trial lawyers in the Wilberg Mine disaster litigation, a $100 million claim which arose out of an accident which claimed the lives of 27 coal miners in Carbon County, Utah. This case was one of the largest and most complex product liability cases ever tried in Utah.
From 1992 through June 2000, Mr. Eisenberg was a shareholder and director at the Salt Lake City firm of Dewsnup, King & Olsen. His practice emphasized representation of plaintiffs in complex personal injury and commercial cases. Mr. Eisenberg has successfully represented plaintiffs in recovering seven–figure verdicts in wrongful death cases, motor vehicle crash worthiness cases and premises liability cases. He has obtained more than a dozen seven–figure jury verdicts and settlements on behalf of injured clients.
A Martindale-Hubbell AV rated lawyer, Mr. Eisenberg is licensed to practice in Utah’s federal and state courts. He is the former president of the Brain Injury Association of Utah and is a member of the board of directors of the Utah Trial Lawyers Association. He also serves as the editor of the Utah Bar Journal. Mr. Eisenberg has taught trial advocacy as an adjunct professor at the University of Utah Law School and is a frequent presenter at litigation seminars.
Currently, Mr. Eisenberg’s practice emphasizes the representation of injured clients in complex product liability, personal injury, medical malpractice, insurance and contract cases. He has special expertise in the medical aspects of brain injury. Such cases constitute a substantial part of his practice.
Mr. Eisenberg and his family enjoy many of the wonderful outdoor activities which Utah offers, including snow skiing, golf, hiking and climbing in southern Utah.
