Brayton Purcell a Sponsor of City's Birthday Event
NOVATO, CA -- January 12, 2007 -- The law firm of Brayton Purcell is proud to be a sponsor of Novato's Birthday Bash, Paint the Town Red, a gala affair offering dining, dancing, entertainment and a silent auction. This annual, long-awaited event is a joint project of the City of Novato, Novato's Citizen of the Year Committee, the Novato Chamber of Commerce and School Fuel, a local non-profit education foundation that helps kids and local schools.
Guest speakers include Doug McConnell, host of the KRON 4 television show, Bay Area Backroads, Debora Villalon of KGO 7 and Jeffrey Schaub of CBS 5. The Chamber of Commerce will announce the 2006 Citizen and Business of the Year and a silent auction will be held to benefit School Fuel.

Besides sponsoring Paint the Town Red, Brayton Purcell has been active in local and national causes, supporting groups such as the American Cancer Society, the American Heart Association, the American Lung Association, the Alzheimer's Association, the Asbestos Disease Awareness Organization and the Novato Human Needs Center. Local activities have included sponsoring these fund-raisers: Two Rock & Roll Bike Trek (American Lung Association), Relay for Life (American Cancer Society), Bowl for Kids Sake (Big Brothers, Big Sisters) and Labor Day at the Lake (City of Novato). In 2005, the firm received awards as Business of the Year from the Rotary Club of Ignacio and from the Novato Chamber of Commerce.
