Alan Brayton to Receive Philanthropist Award from Community Agency, Lifehouse
SAN RAFAEL, CA -- February 23, 2007 -- Alan R. Brayton, senior and founding partner of the law firm of Brayton Purcell, will receive the Philanthropist Award of the Year from Lifehouse, a community nonprofit organization that serves the developmentally disabled and their families. The award is given to "an individual who has provided extraordinary support to Lifehouse and has had an exceptional impact on the agency."
Mr. Brayton will be honored at Lifehouse's 2007 Annual Awards Banquet, which includes dinner, raffle prizes and dancing as well as the presentation of awards. The event will take place at 6 p.m., March 2, in the Grand Ballroom of the Embassy Suites Hotel, 101 McInnis Parkway in San Rafael. The cost is $40, but a sliding scale adjustment is available. Established in 1954, Lifehouse provides life-skills training, community integration, advocacy, referrals and information to developmentally disabled individuals. The agency serves over 300 clients living in nine group homes and apartments in Marin and Sonoma counties in California.
