Brayton Purcell Is a Sponsor of the Marin Human Race, A Benefit Event for Charities
SAN RAFAEL, CA -- March 2, 2007 -- Brayton Purcell is proud to be a sponsor of the Marin Human Race, a major fundraiser that benefits Marin County charities. A group of Brayton Purcell employees has also formed a team to run in the annual race, which takes place on May 12, 2007 at the Marin County Civic Center.
Last year, over 4,000 people attended the event and raised over $390,000 for 199 nonprofit groups. Organizers expect an even bigger crowd to show up this year for this huge celebration.
In addition to the race, there will be costume contests, a community fair, activities and games for kids, free refreshments and a chance to win prizes. Local bands will perform throughout the day and many charities will set up booths, giving folks a chance to learn about local services and volunteer opportunities.
You can find out more about the event by visiting the Marin Human Race web site. The site includes a description of race day activities as well as a registration form.
