Brayton Purcell to Celebrate "Labor Day at the Lake"
NOVATO, CA -- August 31, 2007 -- The law firm of Brayton Purcell is pleased to be a sponsor of Novato's 12th Annual "Labor Day at the Lake," an outdoor celebration including a variety of food and beverages, live music, children's activities, and a much anticipated 3-D laser show!
Join us Sunday, September 2, 2007, from 4:00 pm to 9:00 pm at Stafford Lake in Novato, California. There is plenty of entertainment for the whole family at "Labor Day at the Lake." Listen to live music on stage by the popular rhythm and blues band, the R&B Allstars. You can enjoy the riffs of the world renowned Jean Beaudin's 12 string bass guitar, and be moved by the original music of rock and pop diva, Maria Kiziran in the opening performances.
Children can participate in a multitude of fun-filled activities at the event including giant slides and jumps, climbing walls for your dare-devil, Wave of Fire, Jurassic Adventure, Spiderman, Pirate Ship, two special Bounce Houses, clowns and face painting! When the sun goes down, "Labor Day at the Lake " will feature a three dimensional laser show that is sure to entertain.
Tickets may be purchased at the gate at the time of the event, or in advance at the Park and Recreation Office at 75 Rowland, Novato, CA or at North Marin Water District at 99 Rush Creek Place. Adult tickets are $5.00 and children are $3.00 (ages 4-12, and children under 4 are free). All proceeds from the event fund programs for Parks, Recreation and Community Services Department youth programs and Stafford Lake programs and improvements. The City of Novato created this event twelve years ago to raise money for scholarships for low income families who found it difficult to participate in the services and activities provided by the Parks, Recreation and Community Services. To date, over $180,000 has been raised since the first "Labor Day at the Lake."
About Brayton Purcell's Community Activities
Besides sponsoring "Labor Day at the Lake," Brayton Purcell has been active in local and national causes, supporting groups such as the American Cancer Society, the American Heart Association, the Alzheimer's Association, the Asbestos Disease Awareness Organization and the Novato Human Needs Center. Local activities have included sponsoring these fundraisers: Blow the Whistle on Asthma (American Lung Association), Two Rock & Roll Bike Trek (American Lung Association), Bowl for Kids' Sake (Big Brothers, Big Sisters), and Relay for Life (American Cancer Society). In 2005, Brayton Purcell received awards as Business of the Year from the Rotary Club of Ignacio and from the Novato Chamber of Commerce.
