Brayton Purcell Stompers Pound all 52 Floors of the San Francisco "Climb California"
Brayton Purcell returned as a sponsor for the annual "Climb California" fundraiser held in San Francisco in support of the American Lung Association. Showing their personal support for the American Lung Association, a team of Brayton Purcell employees raised over $1,700 for the event. Jennifer Harwood led the charge for the Stompers, making the climb in 15min 24sec.
Over a thousand people participated in the annual "Climb California" event at 555 California in San Francisco. The timed footrace up 1,197 stairs has raised over $390,000 for the American Lung Association in 2009. Donations for the event can be made until April 30, 2009. About the American Lung Association
Formed in 1910, the American Lung Association's programs work to save lives, improve lung health and prevent lung diseases including asthma, lung cancer, emphysema and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). It is active in supporting tobacco control programs, and environmental health, and funding medical research grants to combat lung disease.
