Prospective New Mesothelioma Treatment: Acetic Acid

Japanese researchers recently discovered that acetic acid -- which is commonly found in household vinegar -- induces mesothelioma cell death when applied in the proper concentrations.

The researchers concluded that acetic acid is a powerful anticancer agent that might work well alongside chemotherapy treatments for patients.

The news is exciting for patients who have been diagnosed with mesothelioma, a fatal cancer caused by asbestos exposure. There is no known cure for mesothelioma, although many cutting-edge treatments are being experimented with.
