Portland Man Wins $1.5 Million Jury Verdict For Injuries and Cancer Caused by Asbestos Exposure
A jury awarded over $1.5 million in favor of a 71–year old Portland worker diagnosed with asbestos–related lung disease and non–Hodgkin’s lymphoma. He had been exposed to asbestos–containing building products manufactured by Kaiser Gypsum.

Jury Awards Navy Boilermaker Over $4.6 Million For Lung Cancer Caused by Asbestos Exposure
A San Francisco jury awarded a boilermaker and his wife over $4.6 million in damages in a lawsuit against Exxon Corporation June 10, 1999 for injuries resulting from occupational exposure to asbestos while working at the Exxon refinery in Benicia, California.
