We support the American Lung Association: California (ALAC)!

The American Lung Association is the leading organization working to save lives by improving lung health and preventing lung disease. Over 100 years of research and public service in the cause of lung health has defeated tuberculosis and helped keep tobacco advertising away from our children.

Funded in part by these Climb and Walk fundraising events, their research awards and grants program helps scientists discover new treatments and cures for lung diseases such as asthma and lung cancer. Their educational programs support those who wish to stop smoking and give people with COPD the tools to live fuller lives.

We will climb to support the ALAC.

Fight for Air Climbs are the American Lung Association’s most unique fundraisers. Brayton Purcell is a sponsor of this event. The climb we are participating in takes place in a prominent skyscraper in San Francisco and involves racing up hundreds of steps, in fact, 1,197 steps to be exact. Sometimes called a “vertical road race”, our Brayton Purcell team is raising funds necessary to provide life-saving education and advocacy so we can help beat lung disease and soon find a cure.

Why We Climb – WE CLIMB FOR THOSE WHO ARE ‘FIGHTING FOR AIR’ – We climb for our friends and loved ones who suffer from lung cancer, the leading cancer killer.

If you can’t join us, a donation to one or more of our climbers to support the cause is greatly appreciated.

We know a lot about lung disease, but there is so much we don’t know. Your participation or donation will raise the funds necessary to provide lifesaving education, research and advocacy so we can beat lung disease and soon find a cure.
