Product Recall: Big Lots Recalls Wilson and Fisher Ottomans

by | Jun 25, 2014 | Product Recalls |

Sitting down and resting your feet on a comfortable ottoman sounds pretty ideal, right? But what if the ottoman cannot support your weight? A comfortable situation can quickly turn into a dangerous one.

Recently, about 2,000 Wilson and Fisher brand ottomans were recalled due to a fall hazard. The center of the ottoman can collapse during normal use.

The ottomans are a part of a six-piece Cayman Resin Wicker seating set sold exclusively by Big Lots. Nineteen incidents of users sitting on and falling through the ottomans have been reported, with six of those incidents including minor injuries, including back strain, scratches, bruises, and contusions.

If you purchased a Wilson and Fisher seating set, Big Lots instructs you to immediately stop using the included ottomans and return them to any Big Lots store for a $50 refund.
