If you are an avid hunter, you might have recently purchased a MXB Crossbow distributed by Mission Archery. Most individuals experienced in hunting with crossbows probably feel confident in their capabilities with the device, but what if the weapon doesn’t perform as it should?
Users of the MXB Crossbows purchased between May 2013 and April 2014 are instructed to immediately cease use due to a defect in the product. Without pulling the trigger, the crossbow can unexpectedly fire, posing an injury hazard to the user and innocent bystanders.
Find out more about the recall here.
Three incidents have been reported of crossbows firing unexpectedly. Thankfully, no injuries or deaths have been reported.
If you purchased one of these crossbows at an archery or hunting sporting goods store, Mission Archery has requested that you return it to an authorized dealer for repair or contact the company to ship the weapon directly to them for free repair, including shipping.
