Current Openings

Law Clerk

Responsible for assisting attorney case manager, including drafting offensive discovery, drafting motions and oppositions to motions, reviewing and summarizing deposition testimony and defendant documents to help work up cases, and performing legal research.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree and be in their first or second year of evening law school. Someone with good computer and word processing skills; able to type 50+ wpm; strong attention to detail; good organizational skills and excellent verbal and written skills required. Able to work well in a deadline-driven environment.

Claims Processor

Duties include reviewing work history and medical documents, performing claim evaluations and drafting claims, updating internal databases and assisting Attorneys as needed.

A Bachelor’s degree and some office experience is preferred but not required. This is an entry-level position with room to grow. The right applicant should be comfortable working independently in a quiet office environment with minimal client contact and have the ability to:

Learn software and processes quickly and effectively
Knowledge of Excel, WordPerfect and PDF documents a plus
Analyze information and give accurate and well thought out recommendations
Stay organized and on top of given deadlines
Retain and use instructions/feedback as resources for future assignments
Be self-driven and motivated to take on additional responsibilities
Knowledge of construction trades helpful but not required

Workers’ Comp Associate Attorney

A workers’ compensation attorney representing the claimant will typically be responsible for:
Reviewing medical evidence and medical records 
Reviewing medical reports 
Taking depositions of the claimant, physicians, medical experts and other parties 
Conducting discovery 
Performing legal research 
Remaining current with developments in the law 
Drafting pleadings, petitions, findings of fact, motions, briefs, opinions and other legal documents 
Litigating cases before a workers’ compensation judge or referee 
Answer client questions and guide him or her through the workers’ compensation process. 
Contact medical providers and complete paperwork relating to the claim. 
Represent the interests of the claimant at hearings, trials, depositions, oral arguments and other proceedings. 
Assist the injured worker with workers’ compensation benefits, including appropriate medical care. 
Communicate with the worker’s supervisors on the injured workers’ status. 
Assist managing attorney negotiate settlements on behalf of the claimant.
Minimum 2-4 years experience.

Discovery Clerk

Research for and draft discovery responses, including Special Interrogatories, Judicial Council Form Interrogatories, Requests for Production and Requests for Admission.  Draft case evaluations that will go to your supervising attorney and partners for review. Draft meet and confer correspondence letters to opposing counsel. Interview clients by phone to obtain information for discovery responses. Review and summarize deposition testimony to obtain relevant information.  Review documents, summarize documents and assist in production of documents.

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred and/or equivalent research and writing experience required
  • Computer proficiency and word processing skills required; ability to type 50+ WPM; experience with WordPerfect a plus
  • Strong attention to detail and analytical thinking required
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Exceptional research and writing skills, experience with legal research & writing a plus
  • Exceptional organizational skills, ability to prioritize multiple assignments effectively and handle a high volume of work
  • Ability to work well in a fast paced, deadline driven environment
  • Interest in legal field, prior law firm experience a plus
  • Ability to work well with different personalities
  • Ability to work remotely from home
