by Brayton Purcell LLP May 29, 2014 Product Recalls

If you are a cyclist, you might want to hear about the recent recall by BMC. The Alpen challenge, Mass challenge, and Urban challenge bicycle models with Aprebic Forks were recently pulled from store shelves when it was found that the forks can crack or break. This crack or break happens above the break mount and poses a fall hazard to consumers. The bicycle models come in black and yellow, or black and red color combinations, and were sold by BMC bicycle dealers from December 2011 to June 2013.If you purchased one of these models during this time, you should immediately discontinue use of the bike and contact a local BMC authorized dealer for instructions on receiving a replacement fork.
