Jess Alys

Jessica L. Alys graduated magna cum laude from Empire College School of Law, where she also earned an M.L.S. degree, cum laude. She holds dual B.A. degrees in Psychology and Women’s Studies from U.C. Santa Cruz, graduating cum laude as a UC Regents Scholar and serving as the Psi Chi Honor Society Chapter President.
Fluent in four languages, Ms. Alys brings a broad range of experience in law, technology, and education to her practice. Before attending law school, she provided networking and technology support to major corporate law firms in New York City, London, and across Europe, and later managed the I.T. department at a mid-sized law firm in San Diego. She has also worked as a substitute teacher in Spanish and French immersion classrooms and in the Trust & Safety department of an educational technology startup.
At Brayton Purcell LLP, Ms. Alys initially served as a bilingual legal investigator and later transitioned to assist as a paralegal supervisor, supporting complex litigation on behalf of plaintiffs affected by occupational exposure to toxic substances, including those afflicted with accelerated silicosis from fabricating artificial stone.
Ms. Alys is committed to upholding the firm’s mission of securing justice for those whose health and livelihoods have been harmed by corporate negligence. She applies her technical background, investigative skills, and cross-cultural fluency to ensure that every client’s story is heard and effectively represented.
