Brayton Purcell LLP, recipient of the 2007 Corporate Community Service Award presented by the Center for Volunteer and Nonprofit Leadership of Marin, is committed as an organization to volunteerism and support of surrounding community-based organizations. Starting February 1st, employees will be offered a new incentive to volunteer within their community.

“Brayton Purcell recognizes its responsibility as a good corporate citizen to help enrich our surrounding communities,” explains Maureen Grant, manager of Human Resources. “We encourage our employees to become involved by lending their voluntary support to programs that positively impact the quality of life within those communities.”

Non-attorney employees will be eligible for up to two hours of paid time per month for their pro-bono work within the community. Attorneys will be eligible for up to four hours a month for providing legal aid to organizations and individuals in need.

About Brayton Purcell’s Community Activities

Brayton Purcell is active in local and national causes, supporting groups such as the American Cancer Society, the American Heart Association, the Alzheimer’s Association, the Asbestos Disease Awareness Organization and the Novato Human Needs Center. Local activities have included sponsoring these fundraisers: Labor Day at the Lake, A Night in Tuscany, Bike for Breath (American Lung Association), Blow the Whistle on Asthma (American Lung Association), Stepping Out to Celebrate Life (Breast Cancer Foundation), and Bowl for Kids’ Sake (Big Brothers, Big Sisters).
