Eric Solomon

Eric Solomon grew up in Northern California, completing high school in Mendocino, California, where he graduated at the top of his class. After working and traveling in Europe, Mexico, and Alaska, Mr. Solomon attended the University of California, Berkeley, where he attained a Bachelor of Science in Geography, and graduated with High Honors and Distinction in General Scholarship in 1979. He received his Juris Doctor from the University of California, Hastings College of the Law in 1984.

Mr. Solomon worked in diverse occupations, including as a union laborer, longshoreman, king crab fisherman, and bed and breakfast inn operator before joining Brayton Purcell in 1987. Since arriving at the firm, Eric has tried numerous asbestos disease cases to jury verdict, with several successful outcomes, including Robert Rodriquez v. 

Owens Corning Fiberglass, et al. (1989); Walter Lewis v. Celotex Corp. (1989); Lamar Stone v. Asbestos Corp. Ltd. (1998); James Baiss v. Raymark Industries, et al. (1998); Harold Michaelis v. Asbestos Corp. Ltd. (1998); Bill S. Turner v. Raymark Industries, et al. (1998); James Tuggles v. Asbestos Corp. Ltd. (1998); Douglass Lloyd v. Asbestos Corp. Ltd., et al. (1998) and John Riccobuono v. Asbestos Corp. Ltd. (1998). Mr. Solomon has also successfully arbitrated several asbestos disease claims against Fiberboard Corp. and others. He managed the Brayton Purcell Workers’ Compensation department during the early part of the decade. Currently, Mr. Solomon manages cases, conducts discovery, and appears on law and motion matters.

Mr. Solomon is admitted to the California Bar, to the United States Court of Appeals, and to the United States District Courts in the Northern and Eastern Districts of California, and in the District of Arizona. He is a member of the Consumer Attorneys of California and Public Justice. He lives in rural Sonoma County with his wife and four children. His interests include kayaking, cycling, photography, and travel. Mr. Solomon is fluent in Spanish.
