U.S. BORAX, Inc.; SBC Holdings, Inc., et al. – Personal injury and loss‑of‑consortium action for a 79‑year‑old retired career brick mason and Army Veteran exposed to asbestos throughout decades of heavy‑industry work across California, Arizona, and Nevada, including refineries, shipyards, cement plants, and U.S. Borax facilities. After developing asbestos‑caused pleural plaques and asbestosis, Mr. Bohannan was later diagnosed with bladder cancer (2007) and transitional‑cell carcinoma of the renal pelvis and ureter (2023).
Case settled at the commencement of Motions in Limine before jury selection, in excess of $1,000,000 as to all defendants, including resolution of a prior non‑malignancy asbestosis case. July 2026.
