Every year, top-ranked attorneys in Northern California are chosen to be included within the annual list of Super Lawyers.
The selection process is a rigorous and patented series of steps that ensures only the best are given the title of “Super Lawyer” or “Rising Star,” every year. Peer nominations and evaluations, as well as third-party research, are combined to determine which candidates are to be included.

To be eligible for inclusion as a Rising Star, a candidate must be either 40 years old or younger or in practice for 10 years or less. No more than 2.5 percent of lawyers in the state are named to the Rising Stars list.
