I was born and raised in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. I went to Colorado College where I studied English and Creative Writing. After College, I moved to China to teach English for a couple years. When I returned to the United States, I attended John Marshall Law School in Chicago, Illinois. After Law School, I returned to Pittsburgh and worked at a bankruptcy firm. where I represented clients in a range of issues that arise in the world of insolvency, including the claim negotiation and dispute resolution process of 524(g) Asbestos Trusts. Since moving to California and joining Brayton Purcell, I've continued to apply my knowledge of bankruptcy law and 524(g) Asbestos Trusts to advocate for our clients.
What motivated/inspired you to become an attorney?
While I come from several generations of attorneys, and have seen the help that they have provided their communities, I also enjoy helping my clients achieve a positive outcome from tough circumstances and remove some of the stress from their lives.
What do you enjoy most about the work you do?
Besides helping my clients, I enjoy the critical thinking, problem solving, and learning that occurs every day.
What are your hobbies and interests?
When not working, I enjoy watching tv and movies, writing fiction, playing banjo and guitar, attending concerts, and playing and watching sports, especially my hometown Pittsburgh sports teams.
