I was born and raised in Santa Rosa, CA. Prior to being admitted as an attorney, I worked a litigation paralegal for over nine years. While working as a paralegal, I continued my education by attending law school at night and graduated with a Juris Doctorate and Master of Legal Studies from Empire College School of Law in 2021. During law school, I competed in the Traynor Moot Court competition twice, participated in the disability law clinic, and received a Witkin Award in Contracts. Prior to law school, I attended Sonoma State University and earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in history. I also attended Santa Rosa Junior College and earned an Associate of Arts degree in Paralegal Studies.

Prior to joining Brayton Purcell, LLP, I have worked at several law firms in the Bay Area, in many different roles including receptionist, administrative assistant, paralegal, law clerk, and associate attorney. The majority of my background has been in insurance defense litigation and am happy to have made the move to Plaintiff’s litigation.

What motivated/inspired you to become an attorney?

I was motivated to become an attorney because I have always had the desire to help others who are in need. When I graduated from SSU, I was not in the position to be able to attend law school right away, so I obtained my paralegal degree and began to work as a paralegal, which provided me with invaluable experience and motivated me to continue my legal education.

What do you enjoy most about the work you do?

I enjoy the intellectual challenge of research and writing, while also feeling like the work I do is truly making a difference in the lives of those that have been horrifically affected by the use of artificial stone countertops.

What are your hobbies and interests? What do you like to do when you're not working?

When I'm not working, I enjoy anything that involves being outside - hiking, working in my garden, and exploring the Northern CA coast. I also enjoy spending time with my husband, three kids, and pets (2 dogs, 1 cat, 1 hamster, and 3 guinea pigs).
