Brayton Purcell reached a favorable resolution after four days of jury trial in the Utah Third District Court of Salt Lake County, for the Ashworth family. The Ashworth family brought a wrongful death lawsuit against various entities for Mr. Ashworth’s exposure at various Utah job sites in Tooele, County, along with his exposure to asbestos-containing products on his various personal home remodels. The trial began on November 1, 2017, and resolved on November 7, 2017, and was presided over the Honorable Randall N. Skanchy. Jennifer Alesio and Daniel Morse, attorneys with Brayton Purcell LLP, were trial counsel for the Ashworth family. “There are two ways we serve in our democracy, one is voting and the other is jury service” reflected attorney Daniel Morse who was grateful for the commitment the jurors were making on behalf of the Ashworth family.
