$5 Million Verdict for Retired Pipe-fitter in Mesothelioma Trial


gavelOn August 4, 2017, after a three-week trial and two days of deliberations, a Multnomah County jury returned a verdict against John Crane Inc., an asbestos packing and gasket manufacturer. The jury decided unanimously that John Crane, Inc. was negligent, that its asbestos-containing products were defective in design, and that it failed to warn.   Read more…

Important Wrongful Death Law Set In Utah


gavel2015 – Vickie Warren was diagnosed with Mesothelioma in July 2007. She filed a personal injury lawsuit in the Third District Court, Salt Lake City, Utah in August, 2007. She had a jury trial in May, 2010, where the jury awarded a verdict of $5,256,818.61 against Hamilton Materials, Georgia Pacific, LLC and Union Carbide Corporation. Los Angeles Jury Renders $17.736 Million Verdict for Spouse of Former Smoker


gavel2014 – On July 30, 3014, a jury in Los Angeles County Superior Court returned a verdict in favor of Mrs. Tajie Major, the widow of retired Captain William Major, U.S. Navy, against the only defendant in the case, Lorillard Tobacco Co. for $17.736 M (Tajie Major vs. Lorillard Tobacco Co., Case No. BC473650).
