Ms. Skubic joined Brayton Purcell as an associate attorney in February 1997. Beginning in the firm's asbestos practice and then moving to supervising the bankruptcy department until 2012. After a hiatus to raise her two children, Ms. Skubic returned to the firm in February of 2025 and works in the law & motion department in both the firm's artificial stone silicosis and asbestos litigation practice areas.
What motivated/inspired you to become an attorney?
Ms. Skubic was motivated to become an attorney by a commitment to advocating for injured workers. As the first in her family to attend college, representing those who were harmed while working to support their families, and who often lack an effective voice to obtain accountability and meaningful relief, is a driving force behind her practice.
What do you enjoy most about the work you do?
She particularly enjoys law and motion practice, where thoughtful legal analysis and persuasive briefing play a central role in advancing clients’ cases and supporting the overall litigation strategy.
What are your hobbies and interests? What do you like to do when you're not working?
Ms. Skubic’s hobbies include traveling, knitting, and coaching. She has travelled all over the world, has far too many sweaters, and coached volleyball for over 15 years at Petaluma High School and St. Vincent de Paul High and Elementary Schools.
