These days, we sacrifice a lot for efficiency. Keurig systems brew single servings of hot coffee for consumers in less than a minute, and they have become quit a hit for those “on the go.” Despite the speed, efficiency, and popularity of the product, 6.6 million MINI Plus Brewing Systems have recently been recalled from store shelves due to a burn hazard.

Over two hundred reports of hot liquid escaping from brewers have been reported, with ninety reports of burn-related injuries. The products were produced between 2009 and 2014, and contain the model number K10. Recalled brewers have an identification number starting with “31” followed by a range of numbers printed on a white sticker on the bottom of the brewer.

FDA Recalls EzriCare and Delsam Pharma’s Artificial Tears

The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) warned consumers and health care practitioners in early February 2023, not to purchase and to immediately stop using EzriCare Artificial Tears or Delsam Pharma’s Artificial Tears due to potential bacterial contamination. Using these contaminated products increases risk of eye infections that could result in blindness or death. Later in the month, the FDA recommended that Global Pharma recall Delsam Pharma’s Artificial Eye Ointment, and the firm agreed to initiate a recall of all unexpired lots of EzriCare Artificial Tears and Delsam Pharma’s Artificial Tears.
