Trial Type: 74-year-old retired Hot-Top, Liner, Ingot Mold Steel Mill laborer, vehicle mechanic, industrial sprinkler-fitter Wrongful Death – Lung Cancer/Asbestosis.
Case resolved after Motions In Limine at Jury Selection as to all case defendants, Personal Injury and Wrongful Death, in excess of $1,250,000.00.
November – December 2022

Sarah Harris et ux. v. Kaiser Gypsum Company, Inc. et al.
Civil Jury Trial
Superior Court of San Francisco City and County, State of California
Judge: Hon. Suzanne Ramos Bolanos
Trial Type: Wrongful Death – 88-year-old retired career Carpenter – Asbestosis/Mesothelioma diagnosed at autopsy.
Case resolved prior to jury selection and mini openings in excess of $750,000.00 as to all case defendants.
October – November 2022

Ron Matteri v. Shear Builders, Inc., Rod Matteri, & Jeff Knepper
Sonoma County Superior Court
Judge: Hon. Arthur Wick & Bradford DeMeo
Trial Type: Breach of Fiduciary Duty, Request for Accounting, Conversion, Breach of Contract, Various Cross-Claims
23 Day Phase 1 Bench Trial resulted in $3.8 million finding for plaintiff, a predicate finding for punitive damages, order of further accounting, and finding for plaintiff on defendant cross-claims.  Subsequently, plaintiff’s motion for partial directed verdict on certain remaining phases was granted and the defendants’ writ was denied.  The parties then resolved for a confidential amount.
July 2022

Kimberly Bishop et ux. v. Central Valley Supply Co. Inc. et al.
Civil Jury Trial
Superior Court of California – Los Angeles County – Chatsworth Division
Judge: Hon. Randy Rhodes – Dept F51
Trial Type: Wrongful Death – Lung Cancer – Career Union Local 460 Plumber largely at B&B Plumbing Co. in Bakersfield, California at Bakersfield Memorial Hospital, Mercy Hospital, and Mountain View Middle School working with Transite asbestos-containing flue and water pipe installed, beveled, and fit in facility building and heating systems. The decedent’s Lung Cancer was caused by the super-additive combined effects of asbestos and cigarette use.
Case resolved at jury selection in excess of $1,000,000.00 as to all case defendants.
May – June 2022

Carol Chulick et ux. vs. COSCO Fire Protection, Inc. et al.
Civil Jury Trial

Trial Type: Asbestosis wrongful death – retired career insulator working in Nevada and Bay Area (Reno Airport, Fallon Naval Air Station, Nugget Casino, Richmond Standard Oil Refinery, Pittsburg & Antioch PG&E Powerhouses, Crockett C&H Sugar, Bethleham Shipyard Pier 70, Santa Rosa High School, Shell Oil Martinez, Alameda Naval Air Station, US Steel Pittsburg).
Case resolved after hearings on all Pre-Trial Motions in excess of $1,750,000.00 as to all case defendants.
